Today in class, our professor assigned us into group of 3. The group discussed the following issues based from our reading in Chapter 1. We briefly discussed how timeline was interesting, Attention, Relevance, Challenge/Confidence, Satisfaction/Success (ARCS) is important, mobile is essential for teachers - to be able to grade papers at home, and the importance of having email access. Often times, teachers are busy teaching that they do not have time to retrieve their phone messages with the school's secretary, to return phone calls; however, with today's technology, many teachers have a computer in their class room and are able to access their email quickly and respond faster to emails from parents, faculty, etc.

The skills that I acquired from last class (1st class meeting) I learned how to create my very own Blogger. I also learned how to go into Google to find various characters to add into my Blogger picture.

So far I am having a good time in this course. I am not too crazy about taking practice tests in SAM. All and all I think this course is fun.

I am in the Visually Impairment Major and am enjoying this program very much. Currently, I am in the senior year and will be graduating from FSU in 2009, pursuing my Masters.

My prior experience in technology are taking a computer class in high school, taking a computer summer course in the 7th grade, and from working. Most of my past work experience I dealt with various computer programs. I self-taught myself Microsoft Word and Excel.

My expectations for this course is to learn short-cuts from instead of using the menu bars. I know a few short-cuts, but would like to compare my knowledge and learn more. I would also like to learn more how to use Microsoft Office 2007 and create cartoons on PowerPoint.
